I am Jaleesa, a Licensed Master Social Worker who is a huge advocate of self-care and truly believes it’s vital to our well-being. I feel everyone needs their “woo-sah” moment — even children!

I have over 7 years of clinical experience in the Social Work field, which includes individual and group psychotherapy. I have served children and adolescents with learning and educational delays, behavioral difficulties, and adults experiencing interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, and challenges with life transitions. I use a mix of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and collaborative Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I also adopt a proactive approach that involves goal-setting, progress monitoring, and celebrating accomplishments with my clients.

My biggest passion is working with student athletes, and I am excited to share that I am nearing the end of completing my certification in Sports Social Work.

I want my clients to know that they have a voice and what they desire out of therapy is what we will truly work towards. I am not the therapist that will nod and go along with your every word. We will set goals and track progress, hit valleys, but most importantly, we will hit peaks. I will equip you with the tools to help you conquer life’s curveballs, but you will do the work, you will be in charge of your journey, and every step of the way will be worth the fight. Of course, we will have fun. There is joy in every situation!

I can’t wait to meet you, work with you, and most importantly, heal with you. My favorite quote is from Erica Gerald Mason who stated, “The sun does not ask permission to shine and neither should you.”
